Lord Shivyogi Shri Siddharameshwar, the guiding light of Solapur, was a revered yogi, mystic, and visionary, whose life and teachings continue to inspire generations. Solapur, a historic district in Maharashtra, holds a unique place in India’s history, having experienced freedom even before the country’s independence.

He lived by the philosophy “Duty is Deity” and composed over 68,000 vachanas (dictums), which continue to guide devotees and scholars alike. In the 12th century, he undertook remarkable works for public welfare, including the consecration of 68 Shivlingas and Asthavinayak idols across the Panchkroshi (five-mile radius) of Solapur, and the construction of a large lake to address drinking water needs.

Due to his holy presence and lasting reverence, Solapur is now known as “Abhinav Shrishail”, a modern-day sacred site in Maharashtra.
