HARITH VISHWA : About Harith Aikyam → Harith Vishwa

Harish Aikyam was initially conceptualized as a community-driven environmental initiative with the aim of promoting tree plantation, ecological awareness, and collective responsibility towards nature. The name itself reflected the idea of “unity for a green cause”, bringing people together at a local level to contribute towards environmental sustainability.

In its early phase, the initiative focused on:

• Tree plantation drives

• Local community participation

• Awareness campaigns on environmental conservation

• Encouraging youth involvement in green activities

The initiative was first launched at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Solapur, with the plantation of 450 saplings of diverse varieties, and was later extended to V. M. Mehta School, Solapur.

The focus on educational institutions is intentional, as students spend a significant part of their day in schools, making it essential to create a greener, healthier, and oxygen-rich environment that supports their well-being and growth.

IMPACT SESSION

Astute Club, now known as Vishwatej Foundation, organized a meaningful and engaging program for the children of Prarthna Foundation, an orphanage founded by Prasad Mohite and home to 80 children. The event was held at Galaxy Hall in Jule Solapur from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from both volunteers and children.

The program included a variety of fun-filled activities such as musical chairs and other entertaining games, creating a joyful atmosphere for the children. The children also showcased their talents through vibrant dance performances. Adding to the cultural essence of the event, Ishwari Dhulenge and Rushikesh Shinde presented soulful classical music performances.

The members of the foundation, including Dhanesh Rajendra Kanmuse, Akshay Shivanand Shete, Akash Mallikarjun Patil, Yashraj Pawar, Shivraj Patil, Vishal Survase, and Siddhi Dharne, played a key role in organizing and executing the event. As part of the initiative, study materials such as writing pads, textbooks, storybooks, pens, and pencils were distributed to the children. Refreshments were also provided to all attendees.

The program was a successful effort in bringing joy, encouragement, and support to the children, reflecting the foundation’s commitment to social service and community welfare.
