Biography

Mr. Akshay Javalgikar is a dedicated academician, researcher, and mentor who has built a remarkable career in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, notably in pharmacology. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD as a research scholar, enriching his academic expertise and continuing his contribution to the body of knowledge in pharmacy research. He has already completed his post-graduation with an M. Pharm degree specializing in Pharmacology, displaying a strong grasp of drug mechanisms, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and their application in clinical and pre-clinical studies. With a deep understanding of his discipline, he has been regarded as a scholar with both theoretical proficiency and practical insights.
In addition to his academic endeavors, he is also a board member of Hiremath Foundation, where he plays an active role in shaping educational and social outreach initiatives. His involvement in various social welfare activities reflects his commitment to community development and youth empowerment, marking him as an educator who extends his impact beyond academia.
At present, Mr. Javalgikar is serving as an Assistant Professor at MIT - Vishwaprayag University (MIT–VPU), Solapur, where he continues to inspire and guide undergraduate and postgraduate students. He is known for his engaging teaching methods that emphasize conceptual clarity and critical thinking, enabling students to connect pharmacological principles with real-world applications. His teaching career spans over 10 years, during which he has earned respect among peers and students for his commitment to the academic and professional growth of young pharmacists. Alongside his teaching experience, he also brings over 1 year of industrial experience, which adds tremendous value to his academic role. This unique combination of industry exposure and teaching has allowed him to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application in modern pharmacy practices.
Before joining his current position, Mr. Javalgikar was associated with D.S.T.S. Mandal’s College of Pharmacy, Solapur, where he contributed significantly to the institution’s academic environment. His research-driven approach to teaching, keen interest in mentoring budding researchers, and his active involvement in curriculum development made him one of the notable faculty members in the institution. His contribution extended beyond the classroom, as he consistently guided students in research projects, seminars, and examinations, helping them build strong foundations in pharmacological sciences.
