For Every Paws – Protecting Stray Dogs with Reflective & QR Collars

For Every Paws is a compassionate initiative by the Hiremath Foundation dedicated to improving the safety, visibility, and overall well-being of stray dogs. In many urban and rural areas, stray animals live without protection, making them highly vulnerable to road accidents, injuries, harsh weather conditions, hunger, and untreated medical issues. This project was created to address these challenges through a simple yet impactful solution.

The core idea of the initiative is to enhance the visibility and identification of stray dogs using reflective and QR-based collars. These collars play a crucial role in preventing accidents, especially during nighttime when visibility is low. The reflective material helps vehicles and pedestrians notice animals from a distance, significantly reducing the chances of road accidents and injuries.

Through this initiative, the Hiremath Foundation has successfully distributed over 750+ reflective collars and 500+ QR-based reflective collars across multiple regions, including Solapur, Bijapur, New Delhi, Gulbarga, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Diu, and Daman. Each collar represents not just a safety tool, but a step toward compassion and responsibility for voiceless lives that share our environment.

The QR-based collars add an advanced layer of protection and care. When scanned, they can provide essential information that helps rescuers or volunteers respond quickly. This enables timely medical assistance, identification, and better coordination for rescue efforts. It bridges the gap between stray animals and those willing to help them.

Stray animal welfare remains an often overlooked issue. Many dogs suffer silently without access to food, shelter, or veterinary care. They are exposed to traffic, infections, and harsh living conditions every day. The For Every Paws initiative aims to reduce these risks and create a safer environment where stray animals are seen, protected, and supported.

Beyond physical protection, this project also promotes awareness and empathy within communities. It encourages people to recognize stray animals not as a problem, but as living beings deserving care and respect.
